Return of the King

A trilogy that became an instant classic and one of the greatest feats in cinema. There was something beyond perfect about this low angle shot of Aragorn as he led the army of men in the final battle, it was almost jarring for me. It was 2 seconds of pure heroic epicness, as if the films weren't epic enough. It was instantly burned into my head the first time i saw it.

The things people can do with 2D animation never seizes to amaze and inspire me. This is just something that recently blew my mind. Truly visually innovative and yet simple, it definitely captures that nostalgia of a summer getaway. Awesome video by Kevin Dart and his team!

Speaking of amazing 2D Animation. If you've ever had the chance to wonder at the life drawings of Ryan Woodward you can see how he manages to bring that drawing style to life in his incredible animations. Very cool test animation by Ryan Woodward.

When i was a kid, Temple of Doom was probably my favourite Indiana Jones movie. As Harrison Ford was being pummeled by the typical giant henchman he also had a knife in the back of his voodoo doll. Things seemed grim for our hero as he was led down a conveyer-belt towards a rock crushing roller until suddenly his trusty side-kick, Shortround, removes the knife from the doll and Indy shoots up with the fiercest look... Classic Indy!
